We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to the SD57 logo redesign so far.
Over the past few weeks, we wrapped up our community survey and a series of engagement sessions. The insights gathered through these conversations have played a central role in shaping the direction of our new visual identity.
A total of 1,282 people responded to the survey, including students, staff, families, Indigenous partners and community members from across the region. We also hosted five virtual engagement sessions with 78 participants, representing a broad cross-section of our community: students, education staff, Indigenous partners, a DPAC representative and others.
Guided by this feedback, the logo is beginning to take shape—reflecting the land-based and natural elements that connect all communities and Nations within SD57, and how it represents the unique learning journey of all students and those who support them.
Together with our working group and Monogram Communications, we’re prioritizing the insights from the survey and session participants. These have informed key design choices, such as nature-inspired colours and a visual style that feels both playful and sophisticated. We’re also incorporating modern, thoughtful typography that aligns with the district’s forward-thinking initiatives and innovative vision for the future.
Stay tuned—the final reveal is coming next school year!
